Outrun the Stigma 5K Run/Walk
Outrun the Stigma is a community 5K Run/Walk held in Massapequa Park, New York, at Front Street and Park Blvd. The event uses a nearby municipal area for bib pickup and parking is available in the lot under the LIRR tracks.

- 5K Run/Walk - 3.1 mile course on mixed surfaces
- Kids Fun Run - untimed
The 3.1 mile course begins on a closed road and quickly enters the Massapequa Preserve. Participants spend roughly half the course on dirt and gravel trails and half on a paved trail before returning to the roadway for the finish. Bib pickup is managed at a white tent in Municipal Lot 1, and personalized bibs are available if arranged three weeks in advance.
Amenities listed for the event include finisher medals for adult 5K finishers, an after party with food and music, event t-shirts (not guaranteed), live/text/email results, and free finish line photos. Awards are given to top overall finishers and to top finishers in multiple age groups; there is a category noted for active NYPD officers that may be eligible for overall awards.
