About the race
The 4-Leaf Clover 5K Trail Run/Walk is a trail event held at Bethpage State Park, with a separate free Kiddie Clover Fun Run. The course begins on a grassy polo field and follows winding, soft trails through the park, with a few small hills and mostly flat terrain. The course is described as having a cross country feel similar to the 2018 NCAA Division II East Region Championships.

On-site amenities include informal bag check, bathrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, hydration at the finish line, and postrace refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive a complimentary beer when they present valid ID. A good luck clover shirt is awarded to participants.
Entry and participation options include mailed bibs for a $10 fee if registered at least 10 days in advance, in-person bib pickup on race day from event staff, and a virtual option that allows participants to log a time and upload up to five photos during a one-week window starting on the event's first day. Virtual participant items begin shipping on the event's first day; allow a few days for mailed items to arrive.
Online features include live online/email/text results, same-day finish line photos, and online age-group recognition across multiple brackets from 14 and under through 90 plus.
