About the race

The 4-Leaf Clover 5K Trail Run is a trail running event held at Bethpage State Park with an associated free kiddie fun run. Registration is not yet open.

Distances:

  • 5K trail run
  • Free Kiddie Clover Fun Run

The course begins on a grassy polo field and moves onto winding soft trails through Bethpage State Park. The terrain includes a few small hills and otherwise mostly flat trail sections. The event describes the course as beginner-friendly with a cross country feel.

Amenities at the site include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes walk from the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish. Post-race refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive beer in the post-race area and must present ID.

Bib options are available in person via event staff starting one hour before the event start time, or by mail for an additional fee if registered sufficiently in advance. Virtual participation is available; virtual entrants have a multi-day window to log results and may receive mailed race gear, though shipping may occur close to the event and take several days.

Top finishers receive online recognition by overall place and in multiple age-group categories. Proceeds benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
