One Step Closer : Lincoln Park, Seattle
One Step Closer is a timed trail endurance event held in Lincoln Park in Seattle, Washington on August 14, 2027. The race is run on a scenic two mile loop where participants complete as many laps as they can during their chosen timed event.

The first mile of the loop follows the Puget Sound shoreline on mostly flat paved and packed gravel paths and passes Bruun Idun, Lincoln Park’s troll. The second mile begins with a short single track climb and then winds through evergreens, ferns and shaded forest before returning to the start area. Aid stations are located at the start/finish area every two miles and at a waterfront volunteer station about one mile into the loop. Water, Tailwind Endurance Fuel and a rotating selection of snacks are available throughout the event. The race is cupless; participants are asked to bring a handheld bottle or hydration pack, though a small reusable folding cup is available.
Free gear check is provided; runners must supply their own drop bag if desired. Overall awards are given to the top three male, female and non binary finishers in each time category, and a team trophy is awarded to the group with the most total loops. About 200 parking spaces are available in the upper Lincoln Park lot. The event benefits SR3 SeaLife Response Rehabilitation and Research and the Trail Mix Fund.
