The course starts from the park at the start of the Beryl Burton Cycleway and runs through parkland and along a converted railway track between Knaresborough and Harrogate. The route includes gentle climbs and varied surfaces; organisers advise road shoes are suitable. Feed stations are placed at about three mile intervals and provide water, snacks and fuel. The event is described as fully marshalled and clearly signed and entrants receive a bespoke finisher medal and post-race treats. Public toilets are available in the nearby car park.
Practical notes included by the organiser state that the event operates as a cup-less event and participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. There are rules on headphone use restricting large over-ear sets while allowing bone-conduction or single in-ear use. Clear maps showing parking, registration and start/finish locations will be sent to entrants seven days before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
