Oak Park Challenge - 7 Mile Trail Run
The Oak Park Challenge is a trail race held on October 11, 2026, on Monte Sano Mountain near the Oak Park Recreation Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The event follows a route that climbs from the base of the mountain for about three miles to the top and then returns to the start location.
The event distance is 7 miles. The course is marked with pink Fleet Feet flags. Aid stations offering water only are placed at approximately miles 2 and 4. Every participant receives an Oak Park Challenge shirt and a finisher gift.
Packet pick-up takes place at Fleet Feet Huntsville on Saturday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Packets will be available for out-of-town participants starting at 7:00 AM on race day. The race is supported by a race and training sponsor for 2026.
Registration for the listed event opens on June 21, 2026, and closes on September 1, 2026, with a registration fee of $40. The event is non-refundable; organizers state they may consider postponing, converting to a virtual event, deferring entries to the next year, or canceling if necessary.
