The 50/50 Turkey Trot 5K
The event is a trail 5K held at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY on November 29, 2026. It is organized as a run or walk on public park trails and posts standings online for age groups but does not present physical awards or event swag.
Half of the net proceeds are returned to participants through a raffle format. Raffle winners must be present to claim prizes; in a prior year the event distributed four $250 prizes and one $500 grand prize. Refreshments and hydration are provided at the finish by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, and live online, email, and text results along with same-day finish line photos. Participants may request advance mailing of their race bibs if registered at least ten days before the event for an additional fee. Registration fees are non-refundable. The event accepts optional donations; 100% of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports youth and special needs programs and athlete development.
