North Norfolk 50

The North Norfolk 50 is part of the Ultra Challenge series and is scheduled for Saturday 19 June 2027 with a basecamp at Cromer Hall on the Norfolk coast. The main route is a 55 km loop that uses the Weavers Way and the Norfolk Coastal Path, passes through National Trust estates and woodland, reaches North Walsham at halfway, goes via the seaside village of Mundesley in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and returns to Cromer where the finish line is located.

Distances and formats available include:

  • 55 km loop
  • ~30 km option
  • 10 mile option

Participants may walk, jog, or run. Event options include a solo start, an Ultra March option, and a Trailblazerz option. Support facilities include transfers, camping, and parking. Rest stops are provided approximately every 12.5 km with major stops about every 25 km; marquee cover, catering, seating and changing rooms are noted. Medical, podiatry, and massage teams attend rest stops, and a timing system records progress at checkpoint scans.

The route is fully signed with numerous arrows and offers GPS tracking via a mobile app that includes maps and training guides. Catering includes snacks and drinks at regular stops, a 25 km picnic for 50 km participants, and an optional hot meal for 10 km finishers. Finishers receive a medal, a T shirt, and a glass of fizz. Early bird entry from £5 includes a free tech T shirt and a free virtual challenge, with the offer extended to 30 September. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
