About the race
North Bend Trail Fest is a two-day mountain running event with a full day Mountain Adventure Expo in North Bend, Washington, held October 3–4, 2026. The festival centers on mountain running around Mt Si and Little Si, with multiple race formats and a community festival at Torguson Park.
Distances and event formats include:
- Vertical Kilometer (Mt Si VK) - a true vertical kilometer ascent
- Skyline 30k - Vert Running Series Championship with a $4,500 prize purse
- Little Si 10k - shorter loop on Little Si
- North Bend Double - completion of both the VK and the 30k
Organizers describe the Old Si trail used in the 30k and VK as a sustained, very steep climb. The running terrain is mostly up-and-down mountain trails; power hiking is encouraged. The 30k awards include prize money and additional race entries for winners, and finishers receive hand-painted awards from the race director.
The Mountain Adventure Expo runs a full day and features gear, demos, and clinics. Festival programming on Sunday includes a community gravel ride, village-provided childcare, a kids race, kombucha on tap, field games, a climbing wall, costume races, skateboarding intro, and food vendors.
