About the race
The New Years Resolution event at the Trussville Sports Complex is a 6K off road trail event that uses single track paths through the Trussville Trails and along the Cahaba River. The course runs through rolling hills and through the heart of Trussville.
The event offers two divisions: a run division and a ruck division that follows the same 6K route. Each division will have three overall winners and additional age division winners. Registration fees are listed at $30 for each division. Registration for the run opens 10/8/2026 and registration for the ruck opens 12/11/2026; both divisions have registration closing on 12/31/2026.
Proceeds support Designs For Hope, a local (c)(3) nonprofit that has been operating since 2011 and reports impact in 21 countries across four continents.
