Highlands College Half Marathon
The Highlands College event on April 10, 2027, offers a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K on the Five Mile Creek Greenway at Black Creek Park in Fultondale, AL. The course uses shaded, wooded greenway stretches and paved running paths near Birmingham.
Registration includes an official race bib, participant shirt, finisher medal, chip timing, live tracking through RaceJoy, fully supported aid stations, and access to a post race celebration area. Packet pickup is available at a pre-race expo and on race day. On-site parking at Black Creek Park is limited; a complimentary shuttle runs from a nearby campus and is the recommended option for accessing the event.
The half marathon has a 4 hour course time limit, which helps ensure course safety and volunteer coverage. The 5K welcomes runners and walkers. The 10K is open to runners and experienced walkers. Strollers and pets are permitted behind course barriers but are not allowed on the race courses. Headphones are permitted but participants must remain aware of their surroundings.
Finish line amenities include finisher medals, post race snacks and hydration, music and an emcee, vendor areas, and photo opportunities.
