Mildenhall Droves 10 Mile Social Run

This is a guided social trail run following routes of some of Mildenhall and Lakenheath’s ancient droves. The route forms a 10 mile loop that includes stops to admire the scenery and to chat, and drinks and snacks are provided at the end. The event is part of the Brecks Outdoor Festival and is described as informal, without competitive timing or medals. Booking is required and there is no entry fee.

Run leaders accompany the group and the field is split into smaller groups along the way based on participant pace, each led by a run leader. The route is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs. Unless ground conditions are very wet, road shoes are considered acceptable. Headphones are not permitted so participants can stay alert to vehicles and farm machinery using the droves and to encourage conversation. Facilities noted at the venue include toilets and a car park, with free parking at the start and finish. The event is listed as suitable for age 16 and over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
