McLaren Falls Trail, Tauranga - Kiwi Walk & Run
The event takes place on 3 October 2026 at McLaren Falls Regional Park near Tauranga. The venue is described as forested trails overlooking Lake McLaren, with native bush and areas where glowworms may be present. The park is about a ten minute drive from Tauranga.
Three route options are offered:
- 5 km
- 10 km
- 14.5 km
Track conditions are listed as approximately 80% well formed gravel track, 10% road and 10% grassy field. Elevation gain differs by course: the short course gains 126 m, the mid course 224 m and the long course 333 m.
Access notes indicate entry via McLaren Falls Equestrian Park at 358 McLaren Falls Road, Omanawa 3171, by driving past the main park entrance.
