McLaren Falls Trail, Tauranga 2026
The event takes place at McLaren Falls Regional Park near Tauranga and uses well formed trails around Lake McLaren. The route runs through native bush and areas known for glowworms and autumn colours. Participants are asked to drive past the park main entrance to the McLaren Falls Equestrian Park at 358 McLaren Falls Road, Omanawa 3171.
Track composition is provided: about 80% well formed gravel track, 10% road, and 10% grassy field. The course has modest elevation gain that varies by distance:
- 5 km short course : elevation gain 126 m
- 10 km mid course : elevation gain 224 m
- 14.5 km long course : elevation gain 333 m
Pricing examples include adult and child categories plus family passes and an under 5 free option. Adult standard prices shown include a NZ$3 platform service fee and list NZ$72.00 for the 14.5 km long course, NZ$62.00 for the 10 km mid course, and NZ$49.00 for the 5 km short course.
