Adult Tough Guy & Gal Challenge - Rotorua
The Adult Tough Guy & Gal Challenge in Rotorua is an off-road obstacle race at Lakes Ranch, 79 Lake Rotokawau Rd, Owhata, Rotorua. The event is scheduled for Saturday 22nd August 2026 and offers two course options that use natural and farm terrain with constructed obstacles.
The course is described as approximately 6 km in length with a time-equivalence note for venue differences; some venues may be shorter in distance but judged equivalent by time. Obstacles include mud pits, climbing walls, crawling tunnels and other natural and man made features. Organisers specify there are no electrified obstacles and participants may skip obstacles though skipped obstacles make competitors ineligible for podium placings.
Facilities at the venue include registration in the big barn, hot showers, a large heated swimming pool, parking and first aid support. Every competitor receives a finishers medal, a personalised race number if entered early, event support and electronic timing. Age limit for the adult event is 13 years and older.
The event includes a Team Challenge on the 6 km option only; a team must have at least five members with a minimum of two women, and team placings are calculated from combined individual positions.
