About the race

Phoenix Running presents the Hoofs, Horns and Paws Charity Run in Manchester on Saturday 31 October 2026 at Hardy Farm, Brookburn Road, M21 8FE. The event routes follow the River Mersey at Chorlton Water Park along an out-and-back towpath course.

This is a timed event where participants complete one or more laps of a 5.3 km course (3.28 miles). The minimum distance recorded is one lap; participants may continue for up to a seven hour time limit. All finishers receive a bespoke finishers' medal and a race brief is provided one week before the event and is mandatory reading.

Terrain is off road riverside towpath with very little elevation gain or loss. A well stocked vegetarian aid station is available all day, with many vegan options and gluten free items; typical items include bananas, dates, jelly sweets, crisps, cake, squash and cola. Participants with life threatening allergies should bring their own food due to possible cross contamination.

Facilities include toilets and changing rooms at Race HQ. Parking for 75 cars is available at Hardy Farm on a first come, first served basis, with additional parking up to 100 cars at Sale Water Park about a 15 minute walk away, plus other public and paid parking nearby.

Entry fees are listed as £38.00 (Affiliated) and £40.00 (UnAffiliated). All profits will be distributed equally to Save The Rhino and other local charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
