About the race
The Malham Trail Half Marathon takes place on 4 September 2027 as the third race in the Due North Trail Trilogy. The route starts and finishes at Malham Show Field in Malham village and passes through Malham Cove and Malham Tarn, including a climb to Weets Top followed by a long descent with open views. The course is partially way marked. Drink stations provide water and juice but no single-use cups, so participants must carry a cup or bottle.
Toilets are available at the back of the race field. A post-race meal such as pie or soup is provided, and participants receive Due North merchandise and goodies from race sponsors. Free car parking is available at the venue. Registration takes place on the morning of the event at the tent in the car park; runners must register there before the race to collect their race number.
Minimum kit requirements include a waterproof jacket, hat and gloves, a cup or bottle, and a mobile phone with a race-day emergency number stored and a location app such as OS Locate. Prize categories on the day include 1st to 3rd for Open and Non-Binary, and first in V40, V50, V60 and V70+. Entry fees are listed as UKA/TRA affiliated £40 and unaffiliated £42. Entries open 5 September 2026 and close 31 August 2027.
