Lithgow Ridgy-Didge Trail Run Festival 2027
The Lithgow Ridgy Didge Trail Run Festival is a multi-distance trail running event held at Hassans Walls Reserve with the event hub at the Lithgow Pony Club, Sheedy's Gully. Courses use dirt roads, 4WD tracks, walking trails and mountain bike single track, and pass multiple lookouts with views over the Lithgow, Hartley, Megalong and Kanimbla Valleys.
Camping is available at the event hub near the start and finish. Drop bag transfer is provided to specified checkpoints and returned to the event hub after the race. Two major aid stations are located on course at CP6 and CP12; some water stations are also provided. Tailwind supplies on-course fuel and a recovery area at the event hub.
Mandatory gear rules vary by distance. The 50 km, marathon, 30 km and 22 km events require items such as a raincoat, long sleeve thermal, head covering, at least 1 litre fluid, whistle, mobile phone, survival blanket and snake bandage. The 10 km has a similar list with 500 ml fluid; the 5 km has no mandatory gear. Mandatory gear checks are carried out at check in, on course and at the finish and penalties apply for missing items.
Outside assistance on course is not permitted. Littering may incur a time penalty. Prizes include overall male and female trophies and sponsor prizes for podium finishers; all finishers receive a medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
