Six Foot Track Marathon

The Six Foot Track Marathon follows the full length of the Six Foot Track, a trail of approximately 45 km across the Blue Mountains from the Explorer's Marked Tree near Katoomba to the Jenolan Caves. The event began in 1984 and uses the established trail route for the race.

The race operates as a not-for-profit event. All profits are donated to the Blue Mountains Rural Fire Service, who also crew the aid stations on race day. Each year the event records over 1,100 entrants completing the course.

Event organisation involves volunteers and a range of partners and sponsors, including local running groups and suppliers who support race day logistics, aid stations, shuttle and parking arrangements, and finish area operations. The organiser publishes information on qualification criteria, race entry guidelines, race rules, and entrant logistics such as registration, bib collection, shuttle buses, and spectator information.

The 2027 race is scheduled for Saturday, 13 March 2027. Results and historical records are maintained, including live results from recent editions, previous winners, course age group records, and team and special award histories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
