2026 Larry Nicholas 8.2K Trail Run
The Larry Nicholas Memorial Trail Race takes place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Mission Creek Regional Park in Kelowna, BC, with sponsorship from the Kelowna Running Club. The event is the final race in the 2026 Interior Running Association Trail Series and continues a multi-decade tradition.
The main event is an 8.2 km course completed as three loops on the trails in Mission Creek Park. The course will be run in reverse from previous years. Start and finish are at Mission Creek Regional Park near 2363 Springfield Road at the intersection of Springfield and Durnin Roads.
A kids run follows the main race with two distance options. The children’s routes are marked and volunteer pacers will run alongside to guide participants.
This is a self supported event with no aid stations or water on the route, so participants must carry their own supplies. Parking at the park is limited; street parking is available on Durnin Road and vehicles parked on Springfield Road may be ticketed. Registration is available online until October 31, 2026 and will not be offered on race day. Entry fees are CA$25 for the 8.2K and CA$8 for the kids run.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to age group winners in five year increments. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
