Jennie Hamilton Memorial 5 Mile Trail Run
The event is a 5 mile trail run held at Stoney Run County Park in Hebron, IN on May 24, 2027. The course is on park trails and can include standing water and muddy sections; a pond crossing occurs near the finish with an optional detour that adds about 0.10 mile.
An aid station offering water and Gatorade is located shortly past mile 3. After the race there will be water, Gatorade, and snacks. All registered participants receive a water bottle.
Timing uses a manual system: runners receive a stick when they finish and must return that stick promptly. Medals for overall male and female finishers and for top three in each age group are distributed when the timing stick is turned in; there is no formal awards ceremony.
The race is presented as part of the Crazy Legs Race Series, which promotes non-pavement and pavement races in the Northwest Indiana region and stages events in Lake, Porter, and LaPorte counties. The series states an inclusive registration policy allowing transgender runners to register as the gender they identify with without documentation. The organizer also acknowledges that the race land is the seized territory of the Miami, Shawnee, and Illinois Nations, and notes historical presence of the Lenape.
