Into The Woods 10K
Into The Woods is a 10 km trail run that starts and finishes at Clun Memorial Hall and takes participants into dense, mixed woodland. The route follows single track trails and paths that move through conifer stands into oak woodland.
The course gains just over 800 feet of elevation, is fully marked and marshalled, and operates with no cut off time. The route concludes with a fast downhill section. The start and finish area at Clun Memorial Hall provides ample parking, toilet facilities, and space to store personal items. Adjacent playing fields offer room for picnics and include a children’s play area. A local catering stall called Stwff and Things will be on site serving hot and cold drinks and snacks.
Chip timing for the event is managed by Readysetgotiming. Every finisher receives a medal and there is merchandise available for purchase. The event is supported by an on site team and a community of volunteers and marshals.
The route includes two stiles and is dog friendly, but livestock may be present so dogs must be kept on a lead and under control at all times. Individuals under 16 may take part only if accompanied by an adult. The event is not open to walkers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
