Montane Howgill Fells Trail 10, 13 & 26

The Montane Howgill Fells Trail is a trail running event in and around Sedbergh with three distance options that start and finish in the village. The course uses forest and fell paths across the Howgill Fells and includes feed stations on the route. Interactive maps and route files are provided for each distance.

Entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day and carry the items listed on the compulsory kit list for their chosen distance. The organiser publishes a specific kit list for the 10k, half marathon and marathon distances. Cut off rules apply: Trail 26 runners must reach the Ravenstonedale feed station within five hours of the start, and the final course cut off for all distances is seven hours 30 minutes from the start.

Entry fees differ for early discounted places and general entry. Discounted entry fees are shown for each distance and general entry fees are higher. Entries close either when the event is full or on the Friday before the race at 12 noon.

Included with the entry fee are a custom finisher medal, feed stations, and electronic timing. Event photographs are available to download from the official event photographer. Dogs are not permitted to take part in the race but may attend the start and finish area with well behaved owners. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
