About the race
The 31st Hardwick X-Stream is an off road cross country race held within Manor House Farm in Hardwick, Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire on 18 October 2026. The route follows an undulating circuit of approximately 6 miles and uses varied terrain including grassland, ploughed fields, farm track, streams and ditches. There are water crossings and the stream depth can vary with the weather, so competitors should expect the possibility of wet clothing. The course will be clearly marked and marshalled and is suitable for spikes.
Race headquarters are at John Bridles Village Hall, Hardwick, HP22 4DZ. Parking is limited and is available adjacent to the start and finish; car sharing is recommended. Portable toilets and limited changing facilities are provided in the village hall; there are no showers. Water will be supplied at the finish and hot drinks and food will be available in the hall. First aid cover will be present and runners are advised to ensure their tetanus inoculation is current. The organisers and landowners accept no liability for injury; participation is at the entrant’s own risk.
Entries are limited to 300 runners and a minimum age of 17 applies on the day. All finishers receive a memento. Prizes are awarded across male and female categories including overall and age group awards. Team entries require affiliation and a minimum of four runners. Results will be published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
