Running Tribe Races
Running Tribe Races are held at several venues in Buckinghamshire and nearby locations, with different course groups using specific start areas. Courses 1, 2 and 3 use Chalfont Park Sports Club. Courses 4, 5 and 6 use Chalfont St Peter Community Centre. Other listed courses take place at Amersham Cricket Club, Sarratt Village Hall, and White Hill Centre in Chesham.
The event uses looped circuits based on 7 km or 10.8 km loops. Runners may choose their distance on the day and complete anything from a single loop up to an ultra distance. The looped format provides regular access to a designated drop bag area for kit and nutrition.
The 10.8 km loop is approximately 80% trail and 20% road and includes public footpaths and woodland. Elevation for that course is given as about 2,100 ft over six laps.
Race facilities include an aid station at the start/finish area supplying water, soft drinks and vegan or vegetarian food. Courses are clearly marked with signposted road crossings. Pacers are permitted, crew support is allowed along the course, and qualified medical support is available throughout. Medals are awarded for first, second and third place in each distance category.
Entry is open to a wide range of participants; runners should be comfortable walking or running at least 5K. Recommended kit includes a water bottle of at least 500 ml, a fully charged mobile phone, a head torch for winter events, weather-appropriate clothing and a reusable cup.
