Nuclear Fallout
Nuclear Fallout is a winter muddy obstacle event held in November at Nuclear Essex in Brentwood, Essex. The event runs over farmland, woodland, lakes and boggy terrain and features a mix of natural and man-made obstacles, including the signature Deathslide, the Travelator and a multi-lane zip wire into water.
Distances
- 6 km course with 40+ obstacles
- 12 km course made of two 6 km laps with 70+ obstacles
- 24 km+ endurance course made of three 6 km laps with 200+ obstacles
Racers are chip timed and may tackle obstacles at their own pace; there are no penalties for skipping obstacles. Every finisher receives a medal and a free finishers photo. The event provides hot washdowns, changing facilities, buoyancy aids for water obstacles, free car parking, free bag drop and spectator access. An event village is located at the Secret Nuclear Bunker near the race site.
Participants should note that under 16 year olds must be accompanied by a paying participating adult. The course is described as varied in terrain and obstacles and is scheduled in November, offering a late season, muddy obstacle running experience on a permanent course in Essex.
