Event overview
EpicTrails 10km - Castle Semple is a night trail run held by EpicTrails at Castle Semple Country Park car park, Lochwinnoch PA12 4EA. The route is approximately 10 km and uses a mix of paths and muddy trails with several climbs. The run includes visits to viewpoints around Parkhill Woods, a visit to the lookout tower visible from the A737, and may include a walk through the park maze. Route, kit and rules
This is a social run rather than a race; groups will regroup at various points and no participant will be left behind. Group size is kept manageable for safety. Headtorches are mandatory and trail shoes are required; other mandatory kit may be specified in the run brief. Dogs and under-18s are not allowed due to insurance restrictions. The event operates on a not-for-profit basis: fees first cover costs and any remainder is donated to a local charity. Entry is priced at £3 and a service fee applies (4% or minimum 50p).
