DV8 : The Deviating 8 km Trail Run
DV8 is a new trail running event held on 2 May 2027 at Henry Cort Community College, Hillson Drive, Fareham PO15 6PH. The event is the first edition of DV8 and covers a distance of 8 km through woodland terrain.
The route highlights local railway heritage, taking its name from the historic Deviation Line built in the early 1900s as an alternative railway route around Fareham’s tunnel. The run starts and finishes at Henry Cort Community College and is scheduled on the same day as the Deviation Duathlon as a separate running event.
Entries are limited to 100 runners and the entry fee is £25. Every participant receives a finisher’s medal. The event is set outdoors in woodland surroundings and references fresh air and local wildlife on the course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
