Event overview
The Dark Horse Trail is a trail race held on 21 January 2026. The course is approximately 5 miles. Minimum age for participants is 16 years. Entries are limited to 60 participants. Course, navigation and timing
This is a self-navigation trail race using a written route description that will be issued on the day. There are no course markings or marshals and no GPX file will be provided. The event is not a mass start. Participants will be timed out and back in at the finish.
Entry, fees and rules
Entry fees are £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for unaffiliated runners, plus a booking fee. The service fee is 4% per sign-up with a minimum charge of 50p. Entry includes a sausage or veggie burger and chips. The closing date for entries is 14 January 2026. No refunds will be given. It is possible to book more than once in one name for friends, but full details and consent for each person entered must be provided before the closing date.
