Cookridge Community 10K 2027
The Cookridge Community 10K is a trail race held on Sunday 16 May 2027 in Cookridge, Leeds. It is the eighth running of this event, held in memory of Gareth Dunn. The advertised distance is 10 km on a multi terrain course with one grass hill approximately halfway through the route. Parts of the course can become muddy after poor weather.
The route starts at Cookridge Village Scout Hall on Pinfold Lane, runs down the lane and around Paul’s Pond in an anti-clockwise direction, and then enters Golden Acre Park following the main path anti-clockwise past the nature reserve. The course moves onto grass, climbs toward the Arthington Road car park, continues on trail through woods where runners should watch for roots, completes a loop of the main path, makes a clockwise circuit of the lake, and then retraces the route back to the finish at the scouts hut.
Race HQ is at Cookridge Village Scout Group, Pinfold Lane, Cookridge LS16 7SY. Facilities listed include water stations, distance markers, toilets and limited baggage storage (one bag per person maximum). There are no changing facilities or showers. The entry limit is 330 places; entries are listed as Affiliated £26 and Unaffiliated £28. All participants receive a premium CC10K running shirt. The race licence is not applicable and the course is not suitable for wheelchairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
