Brookhaven Duck Duck Goose 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run
This event is a community fundraiser organized by the Murphey Candler Park Conservancy at Murphey Candler Park in Brookhaven, Georgia. Proceeds support the conservancy and its efforts to maintain and improve the park. The race uses park trails and nearby neighborhood roads and includes water stations along the course.
Distances and entry details:
- 5K (3.1 miles), $25 registration fee, strollers and leashed dogs permitted.
- 1 Mile Fun Run, $15 registration fee, all ages welcome.
- Phantom runner, $25 fee, receives a race t-shirt but no race bib.
The start and finish are located in the Murphey Candler Park open field space at the corner of Candler Lake East and West Nancy Creek Drive. Packet pick-up is held in the park at the Duck Duck Social area near Candler Lake East and Horseshoe Road, with walk-up registration and packet pick-up available on race day as provided by the organizer. Parking is available at the Atlanta Colts Football and Murphey Candler Little League lots, and in gravel lots off Candler Lake East. Leashed dogs and strollers are allowed on the course.
