Paper Doll Parade and Breast Cancer Awareness 5K Road Race
The event on September 26, 2026, at Ridge Ferry Park in Rome, Georgia includes a certified 5K road race and a separate health walk. The certified 5K course serves as a Peachtree Road Race qualifier and uses gravel and paved trails within the park.
- 5K road race on gravel and paved trails within Ridge Ferry Park.
- Health walk approximately 1.7 miles on gravel and paved paths; not timed.
The 5K course is described as mostly flat with one hill. Due to trail width, participants using baby joggers are asked to start at the back of the running pack. Dogs on a leash are allowed on the health walk but are not permitted in the 5K race; walkers must clean up after their pets. There is one water station on the course.
Registration pricing includes an Early Bird period with reduced fees and standard registration that closes the day before the event; day-of registration is available. A portion of race proceeds supports mammography scholarships. Group registration offers a discount for groups of ten or more and has its own closing date. To guarantee a race t-shirt, participants should register by September 16. Packet pickup is offered in the days before the event at the Parks and Recreation main office and at Academy Sports and Outdoors, with race-day pickup also available.
Postrace amenities include fruit, Powerade, water, music, and food trucks. Awards are given to top finishers by age group and overall, including masters and grandmasters categories. The event is planned as rain or shine; if postponed a make-up date will be scheduled. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
