Bit of Hope Ranch 5K Trail Run, 2K Walk, and Half Pint Run
The event takes place on a 50 acre horse ranch in southern Gaston County, North Carolina, at 5001 CR Wood Road, Gastonia 28056. It features a certified 5K trail run on trails that include hilly and varied terrain, run through hardwoods, along the waterfront, and a short section on a quiet road.
There is a 2K walk offered as a non timed event. A Half Pint race for children ages 7 and under is also included; that distance is between approximately 400 and 800 meters and is a non timed event. Participants in the Half Pint race receive participant medals and finishers are given shaved ice cones.
A virtual 5K option is available and can be completed on a course of the participant's choosing. The virtual option does not include awards or t shirts.
The event is scheduled as a rain or sunshine event and organizers will cancel if there is lightning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
