About the race
The Big Chief 50K is a loop trail race held in North Lake Tahoe on Saturday, June 26, 2027. The course uses single-track and fire-road trails through forests between Lake Tahoe and Truckee, with sections that pass rocky summits and viewpoints. Elevation on the route ranges from 6,225 to 7,500 feet, with an approximate total elevation gain of 4,500 feet.
