A.W. Marion Trailfest - June 5, 2027
A.W. Marion Trailfest takes place in Circleville, OH, at the A.W. Marion family park area around Hargus Lake. The event is organized by RunFluent and includes multiple race formats on a looped trail course.
Distances include:
- 4.5 mile loop course
- Half marathon
- Day 12 hour race
- Night 12 hour race
- 24 hour race
- 24 hour relay
- Youth 4.5 mile
The primary loop is roughly 4.5 miles, nearly 100% single-track, and runs around Hargus Lake. The loop features rolling hills with about 450 feet of elevation gain per loop and no major climbs. Several creek crossings exist and may be wet depending on weather.
There is one full aid station at the Start/Finish area stocked with water, soda, electrolytes, hot food, and snacks. Runners may set up a tent or table near the Start/Finish (10x10 canopy maximum). Crew access is allowed at the Start/Finish transition area only.
Pacing rules require pacers to be registered as pacers, to wear a pacer bib, and to complete the full loop with the runner; only one pacer at a time is allowed after midday on Saturday. Cutoff rules note no cutoffs for the 4.5 mile race or half marathon; other events have final-loop and relay cutoffs. Packet pickup is at the race site. Mandatory gear includes a minimum 16 oz hydration for all runners; 12 hour and 24 hour participants must carry two headlamps or equivalent, a foil emergency blanket, and a whistle.
