Event Overview
The Yote is an annual trail running event organized by RunFluent LLC, held in the vicinity of Laurelville and Londonderry, Ohio. The second edition of the event features a revamped course design focused on maximizing trail usage. The primary 25 km course is composed of approximately 95% trail segments, while the longer distance requires participants to complete the course twice.
Course Details
The terrain is subject to seasonal changes and varying levels of use, which can result in technical sections for the runners. Due to a road closure, the 10k distance has been adjusted to a 7.3 mile route. Available distances for the event include:
- 50 km
- 25 km
- 7.3 miles (10k option)
- Youth 10k
Logistics and Awards
The event is staged at 50874 Clark Hollow Rd. All participants receive a finisher T-shirt and a finisher award upon completion. Recognition is provided for the top three male and female finishers in each distance category, alongside overall awards. A general course cutoff is established for early evening, ensuring all runners are off the trails by a designated time. While specific aid station cutoffs for the 50 km distance are implemented, they are designed to be forgiving for participants.
Registration for the event concludes in early September. The organizer operates a deferral-only policy in lieu of refunds, allowing registration fees to be applied to future events if requested at least four weeks before the race date.
