Distances

- 35K
- 22K
- 12K
- 6K
All courses use single track trails and dirt roads that pass through Cave Creek Regional Park, the Maricopa Trail, Tonto National Forest, and Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area. Typical desert trail conditions apply, including rocks, sand, cactus, and gravel. Course junctions and turns are marked with colored signs and orange plastic ribbons; signage colors correspond to each race distance.
Aid stations are located approximately every 3 to 7 miles and provide water, an electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. This is a cupless event; reusable cups are available at registration and on race day. The event uses chip timing with results displayed at the finish. Live split tracking is provided during the race.
Logistics include packet pickup at the organizer’s headquarters before race day and race day pickup at the Horse Staging Area, remote parking with shuttle service for some distances, and a park entry fee per vehicle in effect. Drop bags are allowed for the 50 Mile and 50K at designated aid stations. Pacers are permitted for the 50 Mile at specific aid stations; pacers are not allowed for the 50K. Cutoffs are enforced at remote checkpoints for safety.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers at each distance and all finishers receive a finisher award. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
