About the race
The Desert Solstice Track Invitational is a timed track event held December 19-20, 2026, at Camelback High School track in Phoenix, Arizona. The meet focuses on long-distance track performances and record eligibility.

Entry is by invitation or qualification only. Entry for the 24 Hour/100 Mile field is limited to a small number of runners; qualifying standards apply and marks must be recent. The published entry fee for the 24 hour registration is $325.
The course is a 400 meter all-weather track. The direction of travel changes every four hours. Portable restrooms are available on course. A staffed aid station is maintained throughout the event with water, electrolyte drinks, and food; volunteers can prepare runner requests. Runners receive assigned 10 by 10 foot canopy spaces in pairs, plus two tables and chairs for shared use and space behind for personal gear.
Pacers are not permitted. Shoes must follow World Athletics guidance for road events. Headphone use and music are subject to specific rules for record attempts. Track etiquette rules govern lane use, passing, and walking breaks to reduce interference with other runners.
Laps are recorded by electronic chip timing with two timing points per lap and submitted for USATF and IAU records. For timed events there is no DNF; results show the furthest distance reached and include a 100 mile split within the 24 hour results.
