Desert Solstice Track Invitational
Desert Solstice is a competitive ultrarunning track event held December 19-20, 2026 at Camelback High School in Phoenix, AZ. The invitational focuses on high performance on a 400 meter all weather track and serves as a qualifier for national 24 Hour team selection. The main featured distances are a 24 Hour timed event and a 100 Mile fixed distance.

The track surface is a 400 meter loop with zero feet of elevation gain per loop. Direction of travel on the track changes every four hours. Laps are recorded with electronic chip timing at the start finish line and at the 200 meter mark, and timed events report the furthest distance reached rather than a DNF. Portable restrooms are available on course.
A fully stocked aid station provides water, electrolyte drinks, and food, and volunteers can prepare food on request. Each runner is assigned a 10 by 10 foot canopy shared with one other runner and two tables are provided for hydration and nutrition. Crew access and a designated personal space are available inside the fenced track area.
Entry to the 24 Hour and 100 Mile fields is by invitation or qualification only and is limited to 25 runners for those events. The published entry fee for 24 Hour registration is $325 before taxes and fees. Prize money is awarded for specific performance standards and top finishes in male and female categories.
