4K Trail Run
The 4K Trail Run takes place on Cathleen Stone Island in Boston Harbor on May 20 and May 21, 2026. The event offers separate entries for teams and individual runners; each participant selects one of the two event days. After a short ferry ride (about 30 minutes) to the island, participants run a 4K loop around the island.
Each entry includes chip-timed race participation, round trip ferry transportation, a race t-shirt, and an on-site meal with beer. The day concludes with an on-island gathering. Funds raised by the event support Cathleen Stone Island’s mission to deliver free, hands-on science learning to Boston youth. The event is organized as a fundraising activity that brings together workplace teams and individual runners for a race, transportation, post-race meal, and island event.
