Trail Running calendar near Beddgelert 2026-2027

A guided traverse of all 14 Snowdonia peaks over 3000 ft from Pen y Pass, offered as a 20 hour single-day challenge or spread over two days, with guided run and walk options, food stops, and low ratio qualified leaders.

An inflatable obstacle-course fun run at Cheshire County Showground with 2.5 km laps and options for 2.5 km, 5 km, 10 km and 15 km. The event includes music zones, on-course water, finisher medals and food stalls.

Two trail races in Aymestrey, Herefordshire, both climbing to the Iron Age hillfort at Croft Ambrey. Routes are fully marked with water stations and a separate juniors 2 km race with medals.

The All Terrain Challenge will take place in Castletown from Sunday 19 July 2026 to Saturday 25 July 2026.

A professionally guided, fully supported three day loop in Northern Snowdonia visiting 47 summits over just over 100 km with about 9,000 m of ascent. Small groups return each day to Capel Curig with a support vehicle and 1:6 guiding ratio.

A short fell race of 5.54 km with 315 m of ascent, run on a partially marked route that requires navigational skill and prior fell-running experience. Entry on the night costs £3 and the event is insured by the WFRA.

A multi-distance running event along the River Severn on a disused railway between Ironbridge and Bridgnorth, offering distances from 9 miles to 37 miles with regular aid stations and riverside views.

An endurance format event on 25 July 2026 at The Sidings, Wirral Country Park. Runners complete a 4.167 mile loop each hour until only one remains; the event is sold out with a waiting list.

A 5 km muddy obstacle run around Sefton Park on 25 July 2026, featuring climbs, crawls and slides. Waves start every 15 minutes, minimum age 13, and the event supports fundraising for cancer research.

Two trail races across Pen Y Fan on 26 July 2026, offering 5 or 13 mile routes with chip timing, a medal and compulsory safety kit. Registration runs from 27 July 2025 to 20 July 2026.

A 6.4 km fell race near Llangollen with 289 m of climb and partial course marking. Entry on the day only for £5 and there are no toilet facilities because the café is closed.

A short, steep fell race near Middletown on 29 July 2026 covering 2.8 km with 440 m ascent. Pre entry costs £7 on SI Entries or £10 on the night and junior races are included.

August 2026

A *50 miles* loop around the Epynt Way on August 1st 2026, starting and finishing at Noyadd Farm Camping near Builth Wells. Mostly trail terrain with 8,559 ft of elevation, four staffed checkpoints and no formal time limit.

A trail backyard ultra at Hollinwood Scout Camp near Manchester where runners complete hourly off-road loops until one competitor remains; field capped at 100, with prize money and bonuses for 100 miles plus.

A family trail event at Porth Farm near Caersws featuring a one mile fun run and an approximate 5 km main race, with online entry and a listed closing date of 31 July 2026.

Enjoy a scenic five mile multi terrain race through the Cheshire countryside starting in Moulton. All participants are rewarded with a traditional pie and peas supper at the finish line with various dietary options available.

A multi-terrain club race on Thursday 6 August 2026 around Care & Repair, Rowley’s Drive, Shotton, covering approximately 4 miles. Pre-entry fees apply; entrants must be 17 or older and entries are limited.

Open to Offas is a long established challenge in north east Wales offering 16, 24 and 32 mile routes over the Clwydian Hills and along the Offa's Dyke Path. Walkers and runners are welcome and checkpoints provide refreshments and certificat..

A 4.4 km fell race from the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton with 390 m of ascent, a clockwise course with three control points, on-the-day or pre-entry and junior up and down Callow Hill races; some proceeds go to charity.

A hill and trail endurance event on the slopes of Moel Famau offering 12 or 24 hour formats on an about 7.5 km loop with roughly 500 m ascent per lap. Solo runners and teams camp on site with feed stations, timing and support facilities.
