August 2026

A *50 miles* loop around the Epynt Way on August 1st 2026, starting and finishing at Noyadd Farm Camping near Builth Wells. Mostly trail terrain with 8,559 ft of elevation, four staffed checkpoints and no formal time limit.

A 10 km mountain run in County Wicklow with 680 m of ascent, visiting Art's Cross, Fair Mountain and White Hill on an unmarked route. GPS is not allowed and Level B mandatory kit must be carried.

A family friendly trail event at Porth Farm on 2 August 2026 with 1 mile and 5 km races, modest entry fees, and entries available online.

Mountain runs around the Little Sugar Loaf from Belmont Demesne offer an 8.5 km long course with a rocky summit, a 5 km junior course, and a free 1 km fun run; mandatory kit and online entry rules apply for the scored races.

A multi-terrain club race on Thursday 6 August 2026 around Care & Repair, Rowley’s Drive, Shotton, covering approximately 4 miles. Pre-entry fees apply; entrants must be 17 or older and entries are limited.

Lug Uphill in Barravore, County Wicklow on 7 August 2026 offers two uphill course options, a 50-entry cap, and mandatory Level B kit. The event is part of the Irish Uphill League and serves as a trial for the Nasego Mountain Running Six Nat..

A long distance run and walk on the Clwydian Hills following the Offa's Dyke Path. Options of 32 miles, 24 miles and 16 miles start from Cilcain Village Hall with ridge and woodland sections; walkers and runners welcome.

A new 10 km trail race in County Wicklow with 500 m of climb and a route still to be confirmed. The event is part of the Leinster Weekend, requires Level B kit, and does not allow GPS devices.

A hill run around Paddock Hill near Laragh County Wicklow organised by local mountain rescue teams with looped courses of about 8 km and a roughly 5 km junior course on fully marked trails.

A 4.4 km fell race from the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton with 390 m of ascent, a clockwise course with three control points, on-the-day or pre-entry and junior up and down Callow Hill races; some proceeds go to charity.

A hill and trail endurance event on Moel Famau with 12 and 24 hour options, run on a 5.8 km loop with about 400 m ascent per lap. Camping, feed stations, electronic timing and GPS tracking support solo runners, walkers and teams.

SkyRun Eryri in Rhyd-Ddu, Eryri/Snowdonia stages four mountain races from 16 km to 55 km on 15 August 2026, with large elevation gains, aid stations and a mix of ridgelines, scrambling and technical trails.

A marked trail race at Ticknock on 15 August 2026 with a main 7.7 km loop (about 330 m climb) and a 4.0 km junior option; route features singletrack and a loop via Fairy Castle and requires basic mandatory kit.

Annual mixed terrain running event in Tywyn with multiple course options including the Rotary Challenge. The race publishes past results, offers volunteer roles and merchandise, and runs alongside the Talyllyn Railway.

A 7.5 km fell race at Cwrt-y-Cadno Show fields with 264 m of climb. Entry to the show covers the £5 fee; the course is partially marked and open to those over 16.

A five-round trail series at Wirral Country Park held on the third Tuesday each month from April to August, featuring an approx 8K course. Entry is available per race or as a series and trophies are awarded for overall series results.
