About the race
The Black Sheep Pilgrims Trail Marathon is a point to point trail event on Saturday 12 June 2027 covering 42KM from Yr Eifl to the seaside village of Aberdaron. The route follows the historic North Wales Pilgrims Way across the Llŷn Peninsula.
The course runs along coastal and inland sections, using ancient pilgrim paths and passing places such as Porth Oer before reaching Aberdaron. The route combines coastal walking trails, countryside tracks and village paths across the north Pen Llyn.
The event is open to both runners and walkers. Entry includes event support, checkpoints, on-course refreshments and a Black Sheep finisher medal. The event is listed as part of the Black Sheep Triple Crown medal qualifying series and is noted as an ITRA points qualifying event, with points subject to route evaluation and confirmation.
