Trail Running calendar near Abersoch 2026-2027

Trail races around Yr Wyddfa in Snowdonia with 10K, half marathon, marathon and a 57 km ultra. Chip timing, on-course support and a family fun run with proceeds to the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team.

A 24 hour ultra trail on Yr Wyddfa in Llanberis where solo runners or teams of up to five complete as many ascents and descents as possible. The event is UTMB indexed and offers chip timing, on course support and bilingual services.

Trail event at Carding Mill Valley offering 10K, half marathon and marathon routes across the Shropshire Hills and Long Mynd, with marked trails, aid stations and a medal included.

A traditional up and down mountain race in County Wicklow with a main 10.5 km course (700 m climb) and a 4 km short option. The route is unmarked, GPS is not allowed, and Level C mandatory kit is required.

A 5.8 km fell race to the summit of Pen y Fan near Brecon with 588 m of ascent, part of the South Wales Series and the 2026 UKA Fell Running Championship; entries are limited and minimum age is over 16.

A five mile multi terrain race in Arrowe Park, Wirral on Sunday 12 July 2026. The route mixes woodland trails, grassy paths and parkland and includes on course water, chip timing and a finisher medal.

A monthly trail race at Wirral Country Park, the July event on 14 July 2026 uses an approximately 8K course and is open to runners aged 16 and over. Entry is £16 for one race or £64 for the full five-race series.

An evening mountain running event in County Wicklow with fully marked routes of about 11.5 km, 5 km and a 2.2 km forest loop, mandatory Level B kit and limited parking with carpooling required.

A fell race at Plas Dolben near Llangynhafal covering about 8 km with 457 m of climb on a partially marked course. There is a 50 minute cut-off at the top gate, entry on the day is £5 and minimum age is over 16.

A short pairs race on Haddon Hill in Carding Mill Valley where one runner sprints to the top, tags a partner, and the partner runs back down. Entries are on the day only at £10 per pair and the minimum age is over 12.

A guided traverse of all 14 Snowdonia peaks over 3000 ft, about 50 km with 4000 m ascent, offered as a 20 hour or 2 day guided challenge with run and walk pace options and low ratio mountain leadership.

A mountain running event on 18 July 2026 covering 15.35 km with 994 m ascent. Entrants must be 18 or older and have mountain running experience.

Two trail races in Aymestrey, Herefordshire, both climbing to the Iron Age hillfort at Croft Ambrey. Routes are fully marked with water stations and a separate juniors 2 km race with medals.

A Trail 10k at Llys y Fran Lake with varied terrain, lakeside and woodland sections, chip timing and a finisher's medal. The race is the second event in the 2026 RTT Series and includes marked routes and water stations.

A fully guided three day loop through northern Snowdonia covering just over 100 km, about 9,000 m of ascent and 47 summits. Small groups return to Capel Curig each night with daily support and refuelling.

A short fell race of 5.54 km with 315 m of ascent, run on a partially marked route that requires navigational skill and prior fell-running experience. Entry on the night costs £3 and the event is insured by the WFRA.

The Wirral Backyard Ultra will take place in Thurstaston on Saturday 25 July 2026. You can run between 4 and 7 kilometers.

A 5 km Pretty Muddy obstacle course through Sefton Park in Liverpool on mixed gravel and grass, with obstacles to climb, crawl and slide. Entry includes a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign and a finishers medal.

Trail runs on 26 July 2026 from Storey Arms to the Pen Y Fan summit, offered over 5 miles or 13 miles with chip timing, marshalled routes and specified mandatory kit for each distance.

A marked trail race at Glen of the Downs in County Wicklow offering an 8.15 km main course and a 4.88 km junior route, 292 m climb, Level A basic kit required and limited parking at the Outdoor Living car park.
