Join the Saltire Trail Races in Athelstaneford on Saturday 9 May 2026 for scenic 2 km, 5 km and 10 km farm trails at Kilduff Farm. Family friendly fun and village fair treats raise funds for Athelstaneford Primary School.

Try the WitchWood Trail Run in Inverkip, a 24 hour looped trail on forest and hilly paths where you can run as many 5.6 km laps as you like. Everton Scout Camp basecamp offers food, music, showers, a firepit and glowing handmade medals.

Experience the wild Scottish Highlands in the Cape Wrath Ultra, a 400 km multi stage adventure over eight days from Fort William to the Cape Wrath Lighthouse. Held each May, it also offers shorter Cape Wrath 100 and Explorer options.

Run, camp and celebrate trails at Blair Castle Trail Weekender, 29 to 31 May 2026 in the stunning Atholl Estate. Choose distances from a kids fun run to a 58 km ultra, then relax with live music, yoga and outdoor cinema.

Peebles Pootle on 30 May 2026 offers adventurous offroad routes from Peebles Community Centre, climbing grassy ridges and crossing the River Tweed. Choose 16.4 or 27.6 miles for a scenic challenge with hot food at the finish.

June 2026

Experience the Ayrshire Coast Sunset Ultra, a 50 km beach and trail ultramarathon starting and finishing at Irvine Beach. Enjoy coastal views on a 25 km out and back route with aid stations and a finisher medal.

Run a 56 mile trail across the wild Southern Uplands from St Johns Town of Dalry to Moffat, over forests, valleys and mountains. On 6 June 2026 this challenging ultra features GPS tracking, a 20 hour cut off and a limited field.

Ultra Scotland 100 is a 104 mile trail ultramarathon along the Southern Upland Way. Expect 4611 m of ascent across remote peaks and lochs, checkpoints, live tracking and strict kit rules for a true endurance test.

Run the Glen Lyon Ultra on 6 June 2026, a scenic 31 mile trail around Loch Lyon and Glen Lochay with about 3,500 ft ascent. Mostly off road with river crossings that may leave your feet wet, this rugged course earns 2 UTMB points.

Killearn 10k Trail on 6 June 2026 winds through village lanes, the historic pipe track and the foothills of Dumgoyne, starting and finishing in Killearn Public Park. Limited to 250 places and entries are now closed.

Take on the North Star Ultra a 170 mile multi leg trail ultra starting from Kielder Castle over a weekend in June. Choose solo or team entries and tackle five scenic legs with live tracking and on route support.

Run a scenic 15.5 mile off road loop around Loch Lyon, with river crossings, an early steep climb and rolling terrain before finishing at Glen Lyon Dam. Camping is available for a relaxed Highland weekend.

Enjoy a charity 10 km trail run through scenic Palacerigg Country Park in Cumbernauld. Returning as Palacerigg Trail Run 3 on 7 June 2026, this friendly event raises funds for local causes and welcomes runners of all levels.

Run a three day guided ultra along Scotland's iconic West Highland Way, about 96 miles of lochs, glens and mountain views. This demanding guided adventure includes coaching, luggage transfers and overnight stops for seasoned trail runners.

Take on the Cairngorms Ultra Trail, a scenic 60 km race from Mar Lodge Estate near Braemar with about 1006 m ascent and a 48 km short course option. Waymarked trails, aid stations and camping make it a rugged Scottish mountain challenge.

Tackle the legendary West Highland Way in a 96 mile ultra marathon from Milngavie to Fort William. Expect rugged Highland terrain, strict cut offs and a 35 hour limit to test your endurance or chase course records.

July 2026

Run the Great Glen Ultra on 4 July 2026, a 72 mile route with about 8,500 ft ascent from Corpach to Inverness along the scenic Great Glen Way. Expect canal towpaths, forest tracks and Loch Ness views plus 4 UTMB points.

Tackle a scenic unsupported solo challenge along the Great Glen Way from Fort Augustus to Inverness: 42 miles with 6,000 ft ascent and stunning Loch Ness views. Fully waymarked route finishes with a lap on the 400 m track at Inverness.

Tackle the classic 20 mile Chevy Chase across wild Northumberland, summiting Cheviot and Hedgehope on an unmarked upland route that requires map and compass navigation. Finish in Wooler with food, T shirts and prizes.
