Mugdock Country Park Running Festival

Mugdock Country Park Running Festival takes place at Mugdock Country Park in Milngavie, Glasgow. The event is organised by Up and Running Events and uses the same event services and policies applied across their races.

The event offers the following race distances:

  • 5 km
  • 10 km

Races are fully chip timed and the course is measured. Race chips are attached to the race bib and must be secured to an outer garment. Race bibs are collected at the registration desk on the day of the event and race-day information is sent to entrants in the week before the race.

Participants receive a finisher medal, hydration stations on course, kilometre markers, course marshals, music, an instructor led warm up, and goody bags containing sports nutrition snacks and runner offers. Typical event services include on-course marshals and visible course signage.

Registration is handled through the booking provider Let's Do This and entrants receive confirmation and pre-race communications to their booking profile. Online entries typically close two days before the event and on-the-day entries are usually available unless the event sells out, with typical cash prices given for on-the-day entry.

Age and participation rules follow Scottish Athletics guidance: 5 km runners should be 11 or above and 10 km runners should be above 15. Dogs are not permitted on the course and standard headphones are not allowed, though bone conduction headphones are acceptable. A typical completion cutoff is 1.5 hours for 5 km and 10 km events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
