March 2027

Part of the Kendal Winter League organised by Helm Hill Runners, Cunswick is a fell running event listed in the club's winter series. The club is based in Kendal and focuses on fell running and cross country.

A fully tracked 30 mile trail event in Morland, Cumbria, covering about 3000 ft of ascent through the Eden Valley and the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Four checkpoints supply water and snacks and a 12 hour cutoff applies.

Experience a classic 15 km fell race through the South West Pennines. Starting from Barley Village Hall, this event features 545 meters of ascent and requires navigation skills for all participants.

A set of off‑road races around Saddleworth moorlands offering 26 km, 43 km and 62 km routes with mapped courses, checkpoints and on-course refreshments. Entry fees include timing, medical cover and a post‑event meal.

Take the Fell is a trail running event at Beacon Fell Country Park on 7 March 2027 offering 10k and 20k routes with chip timing, signed courses, finishers medals and event photos; pre-registration and age limits apply.

Trail races at Leighton Hall use scenic farmland and coastal-inland trails in the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape, offering a 10 km route and a 21 km half marathon with marked courses, water stations and an event village.

A coastal ultra along the Northumberland coast from Bamburgh Castle to Druridge Bay Country Park offering 54 km and 27 km routes, shuttle-to-start logistics, feed stations, live chip timing and a bag drop. Early Bird entries are full.

Grasmere Wild Trail Runs returns in March 2027 with a new half marathon plus 10km and 5km routes around Grasmere and Rydal. The event is canicross friendly, uses live chip timing and provides medals, merchandise and post-race refreshments.

An eight hour looped ultramarathon at Heaton Park where runners complete repeated 5.6 km laps on mixed terrain. Options include Saturday, Sunday or both days with combined results for those who run the double.

Experience a circular 20 km trail race around the scenic shores of Buttermere and Crummock Water in Cumbria. This fully marked low level route features a mix of woodland tracks and technical lakeshore paths.

A supported 50 mile trail race from Manchester to Liverpool along the Trans-Pennine Trail and waterways. The event offers live GPS tracking, six staffed checkpoints with food and medical cover, a 14 hour cut off and 750 places.

A coastal 10 km on Blackpool Beach starting and finishing beside the Mirror Ball, timed with the tides. Event HQ on South Promenade handles number collection and baggage, with a water station at 5 km and medical cover on course.

April 2027

A 100 km coast to coast ultra from St Bees to Shap following Wainwright’s route through the Lake District. The event emphasises self-sufficiency, offers mapped navigation, staffed aid stations and mandatory kit checks.

Trail run and walk at Guisborough Rugby Club on 4 April 2026 supporting Teesside Samaritans, with 10 km and 20 km options, finishers medals, T shirts, stocked checkpoints and medical cover.

Flat, primarily canal towpath races centred on Sowerby Bridge, offering 100 km, 50 km, half marathon and 10 km distances with chip timing and staffed aid stations.

A coastal trail run of 7.4 miles with 890 ft of ascent, starting and finishing in Skinningrove and passing along the Cleveland Way into Saltburn. Open to participants aged 15 and over with a 2.5 hour time limit and multiple prize categories..

A 14.35 miles trail along the north east coast from Redcar Beach Base to Staithes, featuring sand, cliffs and 1591 ft of ascent. The event has a five hour cutoff, 150 places and a minimum age of 17.

A coastal trail marathon on 11 April 2027 from Redcar to Whitby along the Cleveland Way, covering about 26.57 miles with 3,263 ft of elevation. The route includes varied terrain, a 10 hour cutoff, and 300 places.
