Trail Running calendar near Hallow 2026-2027

Experience a point to point mountain ultra from the Black Mountains to Cardiff featuring scenic ridges and historic castles. Choose between 33 or 44 mile distances with indoor aid stations and self navigation along the Cambrian Way.

Nottingham Running Festival at Nottingham Racecourse in Colwick Country Park features a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K and junior race, supports Nottinghamshire Hospice, and includes medals, free photos, chip timed results and an event village.

A fell race in Machen of about 7 km with 365 m of ascent, with registration at Machen Welfare Ground and start and finish on Church Street. Entry is £7 on the day and participants must be over 18.

A 7.4 km mountain race near Cilcain with 375 m of ascent held alongside the village show. WFRA insured, with separate junior races across multiple age groups and specific junior distances.

A 10 km fell race in Eyam on 1 September 2026 with a 3 km junior race for ages 11 to 16. Prizes are supplied by the Barrel Inn and a BBQ and bar are available in the courtyard.

A looped off road ultrarunning event at Top Barn Campsite with 24 hour, 12 hour 50 mile challenge and a new 6 hour option, on a well marked circa 5.6 mile course with camping, water stations and medals.

Challenge yourself on the Great Longstone Chase, a classic fell race in the Peak District with 4.8 miles of rugged trail and 290 m of climb. Limited to 200 pre entered runners, the event also offers junior races and post race refreshments.

A multi-terrain off-road race of about 4 miles in Shotton on 4 September 2026, with pre-entry fees (£10, £8 affiliated), prize categories by age, a minimum age of 17, and a 200-person entry limit.

A scenic mixed terrain race along the Thames at Remenham Farm on 5 September 2026, offering a half marathon, 10K and junior race. The event includes chip timed results, a themed medal, marked course and an event village with food and photos..

A new *15 mile* trail event in September 2026 on the Rhymney Valley Ridgeway Walk, with 2,267 ft of ascent, mostly off-road terrain, one fully stocked checkpoint and organised entry support from Rudry to Parc Penalta.

Trail running in Carding Mill Valley near Church Stretton with Marathon, Half Marathon and 10K options. The course crosses the Shropshire Hills and The Long Mynd and features marked routes and aid stations.

A Backyard Ultra at Hardwick Hall Estate where runners repeat a 4.16 mile loop every hour until only one remains. The route crosses estate trails, farmland and woodland with on site aid and first aid support.
