Course and logistics

The course runs on moderately technical dirt trails and non-technical fire roads through Huddart and Wunderlich Parks, passing redwood stands, mixed evergreen forest, chaparral, and manzanita on the ridgeline. Trails used include Bear Gulch, Crystal Springs, Skyline, and Wunderlich loops. Course markings include colored surveyor ribbon placed about every 200 meters, laminated signs, and flour arrows when allowed; blue ribbons mark wrong-way trails.

Aid stations provide a variety of food and drinks (energy gels, stroopwafels, trail mix, PB&J, soda, water, Skratch Labs hydration). Runners are encouraged to carry at least one 20 oz bottle. The event is cupless: runners must carry their own water bottle or reusable cup; collapsible cups will be sold on site. Hiking poles are permitted. Parking within Huddart County Park is available for a $6.00 cash fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
