Woodside Ramble is a trail running event at Huddart County Park and Wunderlich County Park in Woodside, CA on December 20, 2025. The event offers multiple distances and has a total capacity of 400 runners. Parking inside Huddart County Park is available for a $6.00 cash fee. Dogs are not allowed in the parks or on the trails.
Courses and logistics
Distances offered:
- 50K: 31.2 miles, 5,400 ft elevation gain
- 35K: 23.1 miles, 3,600 ft elevation gain
- Half Marathon: 13.2 miles, 2,600 ft elevation gain
- 10K: 6.2 miles, 1,100 ft elevation gain
Most of the routes run on moderately technical dirt trails and non-technical fire roads, linking trails such as Bear Gulch, Crystal Springs, Skyline, and Wunderlich. Hiking or trekking poles are permitted. Courses are marked with colored surveyor ribbon about every 200 meters; blue ribbons indicate wrong-way trails. GPX files and printable maps, turn-by-turn directions, aid station distances and cutoffs, and elevation profiles are provided.
On-course support and rules
This is a cupless event; runners must carry their own bottle or reusable cup. Disposable chips are attached to the back of each bib for chip timing using MyLaps and Race Director. Drop bag services are not available. Aid stations supply a variety of food and beverages including energy gels, stroopwafels, trail mix, PB&J, water, and Skratch Labs hydration mix. Runners are advised to carry at least one 20 oz bottle. There is an 8 hour time limit for the 50K and all runners must be off course by 4:00 PM.
Awards and shirts
Overall awards (top three) are by gun time; age-group awards are by chip time. All finishers receive a custom medal; 50K finishers receive a pint glass. Age-group medals are awarded three deep across standard age brackets. Race shirts are District Perfect-Tri tri-blend; to be guaranteed a shirt and size, register by December 6, 2025.
