Woodside Ramble

Woodside Ramble is a trail running event held in Huddart County Park and Wunderlich County Park in Woodside, California on December 19, 2026. The routes run through redwood canopies, mixed evergreen forest, and drier chaparral along ridge lines and single-track trails such as the Crystal Springs and Skyline Trails. Wildlife commonly seen includes black-tailed deer, coyotes, bobcats, and grey foxes.

Course options:

  • 10K (6.2 miles, 1,100' elevation gain)
  • Half Marathon (13.2 miles, 2,600' elevation gain)
  • 35K (23.1 miles, 3,600' elevation gain)
  • 50K (31.2 miles, 5,400' elevation gain)

Most of the terrain is moderately technical dirt trail and non-technical fire road. Hills can be long; hiking poles are permitted. Courses are marked with colored surveyor ribbon roughly every 200 meters, with blue ribbons indicating wrong-way trails. Turn points are marked more heavily and additional laminated signs mark complicated sections.

Aid stations provide a variety of food and drinks such as energy gels, snacks, salted potatoes, soda, hydration mix, and seasonal fruit. This is a cupless event, so runners must carry their own reusable cup or bottle. Disposable timing chips attach to the back of each bib. Drop bag service is not available.

The event capacity is 400 runners. Parking inside Huddart County Park is available for a $6 cash fee. Awards include custom medals for all finishers, trophies for the top three overall, and a pint glass for 50K finishers. Age-group awards are offered for male, female, and non-binary categories.
