Womp Romp - October 24, 2026

Womp Romp takes place at South Field in Wompatuck State Park, Hingham, MA. Distances offered include:

  • 10 Miler - one loop
  • 50K - three loops plus about one mile

The loop combines single track, wider trails, and some pavement. Each loop is roughly ten miles with about two miles of paved surface per loop. The course is marked with pink flags and arrows. Three aid stations are placed on the loop: at the start/finish area, at mile 3.141592, and at mile 6. Aid stations typically offer water, NAAK, candy, chips, pickles, fruit, broth, and items donated by participants. The event is run cupless, so runners should carry a hand-held or collapsible cup for fluids.

Packet pickup is available the day before at the Visitor Center and on race morning at the race site. Parking is available at the Visitor Center but that location is about a three mile walk to the start. Portable toilets will be at the start and bathrooms are available at the Visitor Center.

All event proceeds go to partner charities. Current partners are Friends of Wompatuck, Free to Run, and Footprints. Participants who register by 9/20/26 receive a long sleeve tech T shirt. Finishers receive event-specific items: a patch for 10 miler finishers and a mug for 50K finishers. A nine hour cutoff applies. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
