Womp Romp
Norwell, United States • 24 Oct 2026
Event overview
Womp Romp is a trail running event held at South Field in Wompatuck State Park, Hingham, MA. The event offers two distances: a 10 mile one-loop race and a 50K that consists of three loops plus an extra mile. The course mixes single track, wider trails, and some paved sections. The park covers 3,526 acres and extends into Cohasset, Scituate, and Norwell.
Course, aid and logistics
Each loop is about 10 miles long and includes roughly 2 miles of paved surface per loop. There are three aid stations on course located at the start/finish (bathrooms), mile 3.141592 (no bathroom), and mile 6 (bathrooms); 50K runners pass the same stations each loop. Aid stations will offer water, NAAK, candy, chips, pickles, fruit, broth, and items participants bring. The race is cupless, so participants should carry their own cup or bottle. Organizers ask runners to bring a food or beverage item at packet pickup to help stock the aid stations.
Entry, timing and beneficiaries
Registration opens in December 2025. Entry fees listed are $50 for the 10 miler and $70 for the 50K. There are no refunds or deferrals. A nine hour cutoff applies to the event. All event proceeds are donated to charity partners, including Friends of Wompatuck, Free to Run, and Footprints; volunteers run the event without pay.
