Womp Romp : Wompatuck State Park, Hingham MA

Womp Romp is a trail running event held in Wompatuck State Park near Hingham, Massachusetts. The event offers two distances:

  • 10 Miler one loop
  • 50K three loops

Each loop mixes single track, wider trails, and some pavement. Each loop is roughly 10 miles with about 2 miles of paved surface per loop. The route is marked with flags and arrows and includes sections that can be muddy.

There are three aid stations on course at the start area, mile 3.141592, and mile 6. Aid stations provide water, NAAK, candy, chips, pickles, fruit, broth, and additional items contributed by participants. The event operates as a cupless race so runners should carry a hand held or collapsible cup. Bathrooms are available at the start area and at the visitor center near mile 6.

All participants receive a long sleeve tech shirt if registered by 9/20/26. Finishers of the 10 Miler receive a Womp Romp patch; 50K finishers receive a finisher mug. The event is volunteer run and any surplus funds are donated to charity partners, including Friends of Wompatuck, Free to Run, and Footprints.
