The Woldumar Trail Run takes place on Sunday, November 1, 2026, at Woldumar Nature Center, 5739 Old Lansing Rd., Lansing, MI 48917. The event is the 18th annual edition and is presented by Lake Trust Credit Union. The Woldumar Nature Association manages over 180 acres along the Grand River and conducts outdoor education for more than 7,000 students each year.

Event details, registration and logistics

The course uses varied natural surfaces and includes prairie, pine forest, wetlands, and hardwood forest; there is no pavement on the course. Pre-registration is required; there will not be race-day registration. Early packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, October 30, 2026, at the Woldumar Nature Center (Merry Olds Room). Long-sleeve shirts are included with registration; additional shirts may be purchased at the race for $20 while supplies last. Shirt size requests are not guaranteed after October 16, 2026. Group discount: save $5 per person for groups of four or more. Muskrat Mile registration is listed as free with a sponsor.

Donations and proceeds from the 5K support environmental education and land protection; listed donation incentives include fee discounts or complimentary registration for specified donation amounts.

Awards and services

All participants receive a finisher medallion; Muskrat Mile finishers receive a hand-made tree cookie medallion. Overall first-place winners receive hand-made natural wood plaques. Age-group awards are given for 1st–3rd place in these groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and over. Refreshments and children's activities are provided after the 5K. Results are professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and posted on RunSignup.
