Woldumar Trail Run

The Woldumar Trail Run takes place at Woldumar Nature Center in Lansing, Michigan, on November 1, 2026. The event is presented by Lake Trust Credit Union, and the shorter Muskrat Mile is presented by Delta Dental. The event supports the Woldumar Nature Association’s work in outdoor science education and land protection; the association engages over 7,000 students in outdoor education each year.

The venue encompasses prairie, pine forest, wetlands, and hardwood forest along the Grand River on more than 180 acres protected by the association. The course uses varied natural running surfaces with no pavement. Pets are not allowed on the course during the in-person event. Participants may walk with strollers but should expect rugged terrain. Refreshments are provided after the race and children’s activities are offered during and after the 5K event.

Registration and fees follow published pricing tiers. Long-sleeve shirts are included with registration; additional shirts may be purchased at the event while supplies last, and desired sizes are not guaranteed after October 16, 2026. Donations and proceeds from the 5K support environmental education and land protection, with donation options that can reduce or cover entry fees.

Awards include hand-made natural wood plaques for overall first place across genders, custom finisher medallions for all participants, and 1st through 3rd place in each age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
