Winter Park Peak to Peak Summer Showdown

The Peak to Peak Summer Showdown is a four-race series in Winter Park, Colorado, running from June 14 to August 22, 2026. The series gathers four separate events organized by local partners, with an option to register for all four races for a combined fee of $150.

The series includes the following races:

  • Double Up Hill Climb: 10K on June 14 at Winter Park Ski Resort
  • Rendezvous Run for Independence: family 5K on July 4 with Winter Park & Fraser Chamber
  • Crooked: half marathon or 10K on August 1 produced by Gemini Adventures
  • Byers Peak Stampede: half marathon on August 22 hosted by Shining Stars Foundation

Series scoring combines FIS World Cup style point scoring with a weighted race difficulty factor. Each participant’s race finishes are converted to points, the score is adjusted by the difficulty factor, and the top three adjusted scores are combined for an overall total. Awards are determined for Open Men and Open Women categories only. The last day to register for the series is June 13, 2026. Results will be posted automatically on race day for participants who connect a Twitter account. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
