Winter Beach Run
Jacksonville Beach, United States • 10 Jan 2026
Event overview
The IQ FIBER Winter Beach Run is held at the Seawalk Pavilion in Jacksonville Beach on January 10, 2026. The event began in 1976 and is the second oldest running event in the Jacksonville area. It is hosted by JTC Running and 1st Place Sports and sponsored by IQ Fiber. Race features include long-sleeve moisture-wicking shirts for entrants, medals to all finishers in the 10 mile and 5K, and hot chocolate and snacks after the run. The 10 mile is part of the Jacksonville Grand Prix series; the 5K serves as the Grand Prix race for participants 13 and under.
Distances
- 10 mile
- 5K
Course and logistics
Both distances start on the beach at the Seawalk Pavilion and use an out-and-back format on firmly packed sand near low tide. The 5K turns around at the 1.55 mile mark. The 10 mile course goes out 2.5 miles and back, then repeats the same 5K segment. There is a 2.5 hour time limit for the 10 mile, which requires about a 15 minute per mile pace.
Packet pickup is available at selected 1st Place Sports stores before the race and remaining packets are moved to the race site for race day pickup. A large parking lot is west of the Seawalk Pavilion; later arrivals may need to park farther away. Bikes and dogs are not allowed on the course.
Entry and awards
Entry fees vary by date, with tiered pricing for both distances. A $2 discount is available for current JTC Running members. All sales are final; there are no refunds. Awards include overall and age-group prizes; the 5K presents awards for age divisions from 10 and under up to 80 and over. Medals are given to all finishers in each distance.
